In Memoriam: Another Lost Boy

From the L.A. News wire, It's reported that COREY HAIM, once 80's heartthrob from such films as LUCAS, CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE (the mulleted sleazoid wearing the 'Nice Juggs' T-Shirt), and best known as the young vampire slayer in THE LOST BOYS, died at 2:15 this morning from apparent drug overdose. He was 38.

Sad to see an icon of the films of my youth die off. I haven't seen Lost Boys in a while... think I'll go watch it.

Oh yeah. What I hate is to see yet another 'young hopeful' fall into the dredge of addiction--- especially when he and Feldman were getting started during that time.

Revisiting LOST BOYS, it is kinda cool to watch the kids face off against 'The Jack Bauer of the Night'! LOL

Did you ever see the sequel they made of Lost Boys? I remember seeing a booth for it at the comicon one year - they brought in a super old trailer and that was their booth. Looked awesome - but I never saw the movie. I heard it wasn't that good...

Trust me when I say, the sequel was a hope to boost the 20th anniversary of the original film... When the chance of doing the sequel as a feature bombed out, it was straight to DVD... Sadly, the sequel wasn't good.

Maybe it'll be considered as grindhouse in another 20 years.
